John Shields (Texas politician)
John Howard Shields (born October 20, 1954) is an attorney in San Antonio, Texas, who is a Republican former member of the Texas House of Representatives from Bexar County. Shields is also an investor in Retama Park racetrack in San Antonio. His father-in-law is powerful San Antonio businessman B. J. "Red" McCombs.
